Pay it Forward, Part Two

You can read Pay it Forward directly below this entry. There was one additional part to the story. The next day I am in the gym and here comes the guy I helped. He hands me the big version of the Swiss Army knife. You know the one with the tweezers, toothpick, saw, and just about everything else you can imagine.

Pay It Forward

well, i come out of the gym and am walking to the car and i see this older dude looking like he is in some kind of a tizzy. still breathing deeply i walk on by and then think to myself, hold on. i turn around walk back and say to the guy, problem? he says, i can't get my car started. i say, battery? he says, i think so. so i say, well if that is it i'll get you going.

so i go get my car, open both hoods, put on the jumper cable and walla he is back in business.

so he jumps and out says to me, can i give you a couple of bucks? i say, nope. he says, you sure? i say yep. he says thank you. i say you are welcome, this is the way the world is supposed to work.

he says,

"god bless you son."

and makes my day.
